Tutor feedback has been gained on both the final draft of essay and practical outcomes. In relation to the final draft, my essay is complete with the bibliography and images needing to be added and formatted correctly.
In relation to the practical outcomes, I presented the development work, showing different variations of the patterns used (see figures 1-8). Despite refining the use of pattern within the packaging in order to create more easily identifiable products that work together as a brand (see figures 1-6), tutor feedback suggested that the more colourful outcomes (see figures 7-8) where more appropriate as they counter existing aesthetics more. Furthermore the use of type within the packaging it bold enough that it allows each product to stand out whilst looking like a succinct brand (see figures 7-8). Therefor I plan to develop these further by producing multiple products (cleanser, moisturiser, razor and deodorant) to create a personal care brand. The prototypes created based on these designs will be used within a focus group to identify if they have been successful in appealing to both genders and also to identify any potential problems within the designs.
