In order to develop a more refined logo/identity I decided to refine the use of the repeat pattern as I felt combining the pattern and logo type was too busy. Therefor I started to look at how to incorporate the pattern within the logo in a more subtle way, leading to the idea to emphasise the 'ka' in Heka as Heka was said to be the 'lord of the Kas'. I also looked at emphasising the e as e is a gender neutral pronoun however felt this put too much emphasis on the e making the logo look a little off in comparison with other experiments. Furthermore I've experimented with different colours as although grey and white looks professional I wanted to explore the use of colour to create a more eye-catching design that would stand out against existing brands. The more subtle colours work the best as the brighter more primary colours look slightly unrefined, however the bright blue works well but could be too closely associated with men/masculinity.
